Take A Break
I’m on vacation right now in Myrtle Beach, SC. A tourist trap for sure, but notice “right now” is the off season. We have avoided the crowds the past 3 or 4 years and enjoyed the beach for what it is. Because we live in the Virginia Beach area, we have the same touristy problems there. So, this off season, instead of staying at a family owned place, we decided to stay at the Myrtle Beach Christian Retreat Center. It is a nice place, one that I would come back to (without the kids:-). If you want a full review, DM or email me.
While on this long awaited time away, I can’t stop thinking about what God is doing in our lives and ministry right now. How he has blessed despite my failures, and the plans that he is unveiling to me everyday about the future of ministry for the Dininnys.
I talked extensively with this guy today about a lot of things, including the launch of this church and his role in the process. I make no secret, I am passionate about church planting and I loved to hear the story about the successful launch of another Jesus centered community. I was very encouraged to hear about the number of people that showed up despite the rural area. As we talked, we knew of about 7 or 8 different churches that launched on the same day in Georgia alone! CRAZY work God is doing down around the Atlanta area.
Wherever you are, what ever you are doing, make sure God is getting the glory. (1 Cor 10:31)
Be encouraged today, God is working all around us. But, don’t miss what He has in store for you too!
